Un nouvel épisode de l'examen de mathématiques du Baccalauréat. La scène politique pourrait changer de visage, en effet, l'opposition, mené par le parti SMER de Robert Fico avec le soutien du parti communiste slovaque(KSS), du parti du Forum Libre (SF) et du parti de Vladimir Mečiar (HZDS), espère bien réunir assez de voix pour obtenir la démission et du Ministre de l'Education, Martin Fronc et du Premier Ministre, Mikuláš Dzurinda. Au dernier décompte, 67 députés se sont joints à Robert Fico mais il lui faut 76 voix sur les 150 du Parlement pour faire perdre un siège à un membre du gouvernement, de plus tous ne sont pas d'accord sur la suite à donner en cas de réussite, certains voudraient des élections anticipées alors que d'autres souhaitent un remaniement ministériel...
Les négociations continuent pour rallier quelques députés indépendant à la cause de Robert Fico !

Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda and Education Minister Martin Fronc might lost their seat !  
Robert Fico, from the opposition Smer party has gained support for their recall. According to the daily newspaper SME, the opposition Slovak Communist Party (KSS) and Free Forum (SF) have promised their support, and the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS), the party of  Vladimir Mečiar,  will also give his support. Robert Fico has 67 deputies on his side, but he needs 76 votes in the 150-seat parliament to unseat a cabinet member. Talks continue with more independent MPs and some coalition parties to reach the required number.
The second problem is about the issue, they are not all agreed about this subject. Some deputies want early elections, and others want only a Cabinet shuffle.

28 Avril :
La Slovaquie pourrait se doter d'un nouvelle constitution !
Selon RSI,  Jan Mazak, Président de la court constitutionnelle et Pavol Hrušovsky, Président du Parlement sont d'accord sur la nécessité de modifier la présente constitution ou si besoin est, la remplacer. Depuis l'application des lois de l'UE, il est devenu évident que certaines contradictions existent. Les deux possibilités sont à l'étude. Mais si des changements interviennent, ce ne sera pas avant le 11 mai, date à laquelle la Slovaquie devrait ratifier le texte de la constitution européenne. 
Selon Jan Mazak, il est nécessaire d'identifier les articles de la constitution slovaques qui sont en désaccord avec les textes de l'UE, pour cela la slovaquie peut s'appuyer sur l'expérience des 15 membres originels de l'Union.

As you can read on RSI, Chairman of the Constitutional Court Jan Mazak and Speaker of the Parliament Pavol Hrusovsky agree on the need to amend some parts of the Slovak Constitution or create a brand new Constitution. According to Hrusovsky the experience from the application of the European law in Slovakia point to the need for amending the Constitution. The discussion showed that both possibilities are to be negotiated. Speaker of Parliament Pavol Hrusovsky :
- "I don’t expect this to be sooner than the EU constitution is ratified because it will bring new things to our legal system which have to be taken into consideration in the amended Slovak constitution."
According to Justice Mazak it is necessary to find which articles of the Slovak Constitution obstruct or disable dialogue with the EU, or are in contradiction with EU standards.       
- "We are lucky that we can use the experience of the 15 original member states so that we can become a full-fledged member of the EU. "
…says Jan Mazak. According to Pavol Hrusovsky the dialog of experts must start as soon as possible, especially since people might be sensitive when it comes to a large infringement of the constitution.

28 Avril :
Hautes-Tatras, presque 6 mois après...
Les travaux de déblaiement se poursuivent, mais il reste beaucoup à faire...Une plaque commémorative a été posée et le Premier Ministre Mikulaš Dzurindá a symboliquement planté un jeune arbre. Le comité pour le renouveau des Hautes-Tatras se consacre notamment à la menace qui pèse sur le parc national, les risques de feux de forêt, il faut donc poursuivre le nettoyage pour les minimiser...

Hight-Tatras, six month later.
A lot of work has been done, but it's not yet ended. In order to not forget the disaster, a commemorative tablet was put and Prime Minister Mikulaš Dzurindá planted a young tree, first step of the new forest. The commitee for the renewal of the forest has a major priority, it is essential to prevent a new disaster, in other words, the forest fire.

27 Avril :
Jour J-3... L'événement sportif majeur pour une majorité de  Slovaques commence dans 3 jours, en effet samedi, à 20h15, l'équipe slovaque jouera son premier match à l'occasion du Championnat du Monde de Hockey sur glace qui se déroulera en Autriche du 30.04 au 15.05.
Toutes les rencontres du tour préliminaire se dérouleront pour les Slovaques (Groupe A) à Vienne, l'autre ville étant Innsbruck, plus de détails dans le tableau ci-dessous et tout le programme sur le site officiel, ici.
La chaine STV2 retransmettra les matches.

D-Day-3 !
In three days will start the 2005 International Ice Hockey World Championship in Austria (Vienna & Innsbruck). First game for Slovakia (Group A) will take place in Vienna against the Belarus team. You can se the other games below and don't forget to visit the official website, here.

27 Avril :
C'est fait, les quelques 2700 étudiants concernés ont repassé pour la seconde fois l'épreuve de mathématiques du baccalauréat, suite au "cafouillage" lors de la distribution des énoncés avec les réponses mais en signe de protestation, certains ont décidé de s'y rendre en tenue plus ou moins excentrique comme on peut en juger ci-dessous !! Le Président Ivan Gašparovič souhaite que la meilleure des deux notes soit retenue, mais le Ministre de l'Education, Martin Fronc, a communiqué que cette seconde épreuve était validée, toujours est-il que les résultats seront publiés aux alentours du 13 Mai... En compensation, selon RSI, le Ministre a recommandé aux directeurs des établissements scolaires d’accorder une journée de repos aux étudiants qui ont été obligés de repasser le baccalauréat écrit de mathématiques. Ils devraient en tirer profit pour préparer l’épreuve orale du baccalauréat. Selon le Ministre, il s’agit de la seule solution juridiquement possible pour dédommager les étudiants.
Fin de l'histoire ou nouvelle saga....

They did it ! Around 2700 students have retaken their Maths A level papers but in order to show that they are not totaly agreed with the Education Minister's decision, they wore some kind of special clothes as you can see above...
President Ivan Gašparovič wishes that only the best of the two results will be take into consideration but Education Minister Martin Fronc said the repeating A-level Math exams that were taken Tuesday, were valid. The repetition of the test for everyone was favoured by Fronc following the incident where some of the students received the A category test for Math with the results attached. The results of the repeated A-level exams in mathematics will be published some time after May 13. 
According to RSI, Martin Fronc asked to school headmasters to give a day off as an offset, and, on a juridical point of view, it seems to be the only solution.....Maybe, this story is not yet  finished...

Le Président Ivan Gašparovič n'était pas comme prévu hier à Rome à la cérémonie d'intronisation du nouveau Pape, Benoit XVI à cause d'un problème technique survenu sur un Tu 154... En fait, le président du Parlement, Pavol Hrušovsky était sur le chemin du retour après sa visite aux USA quant l'appareil gouvernemental rencontra un incident technique qui le conduisit à faire une escale en Islande. Comme la constitution slovaque prévoit qu’en l’absence du Président, l’intérim doit être assuré soit par le Président du Parlement (bloqué en Islande) , soit par le Premier Ministre (présent à Rome pour la cérémonie), Ivan Gašparovič a donc décider de rester en Slovaquie.
Conséquence, la question du renouvellement du parc aérien, qui coûte très cher en maintenance du fait de son âge avancé, se pose...

President Ivan Gašparovič  decided to stay in Slovakia. The reason was a breakdown of a government plane that was to bring home Speaker of Parliament Pavol Hrušovsky from his visit to the United States. Due to his plane trouble Hrušovsky arrived home on Sunday after the plane touched down in Iceland. The President thus stayed in Bratislava otherwise the rule that one of the three constitutional officials is always in Slovakia would be breached. Therefore, only Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda represented Slovakia at the inauguration of the new pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican on Sunday.
The Slovak Cabinet thinks about to replace their old Tupolev 154...

22 Avril :
Eurotel change de nom... Depuis le 11 avril et ce jusqu'au 2 Mai, Eurotel a lancé une campagne de communication afin de préparer ses clients actuels et les prochains à sa nouvelle appelation. Eurotel sera désormais T-Mobile Slovensko. René Oberman, de T-Mobile International, est convaincu que le marché slovaque du portable et Eurotel en particulier, represente un bon investissement.
Par le passé, en 2002, l'autre opérateur slovaque, Globtel, avait lui aussi changé de nom, en s'associant avec Orange SA, devenant alors Orange Slovensko, avec près de 2,3 millions d'abonnés.
Eurotel, pardon, T-Mobile, a pour sa part un portefeuille de 1,9 millions d'abonnés. Selon Marek Vašina, directeur du marketing, le changement sera bénéfique aux consommateurs, avec de nouveaux services et produits ainsi que des mobiles de dernière génération seront proposés.

EuroTel has announced a name change. Starting May 2, the company will be officially known as T-Mobile Slovensko. According to T-Mobile International's CEO René Obermann, T-Mobile is teaming up with EuroTel because the company is convinced that EuroTel in particular, and the Slovak mobile market in general, represent a good investment.
In the past, it was in 2002, the second mobile phone operator,  Globtel, joined Orange SA to become Orange Slovensko. Orange Slovensko currently serves around 2.3 million customers.
According to EuroTel Marketing Director Marek Vašina, EuroTel customers (around 1.9 million customers in Slovakia)  will benefit from the re-branding. "Our customers can expect new products, more exciting mobile phones and better customer service."

21 Avril :
Kia, la saga se poursuit !

Selon RSI, les propiétaires ont gagné leur bataille ! Le governement a décidé de leur payé 350 Sk le m², le porte parole des propriétaires qui se sont opposés au  prix trop bas estime pour sa part que le gouvernement aurait du se décider il y a longtemps et ainsi evité à la Slovaquie une mauvaise publicité sur le plan international. Les 50 hectares concernés sont répartis entre 400 propriétaires différents, l'Etat va débourser 180 millions de Sk... Les propriétaires qui avaient vendu leur parcelle au prix fixé par l'Etat, soit 140 Sk, sont quelque peu dépités, ils veulent désormais obtenir des compensations...
Owners of the lands destined for the future Kia car factory near Zilina have won. The Cabinet decided to pay them 350 crowns (almost 9 Euro) per square meter. According to the chief of the petition committee the government should have done this long ago, without hurting the image of Slovakia abroad. The former landowners who sold their properties for less than half of the price some time ago feel defeated and want to take some legal measures to compensate the difference between the two selling prices.

20 Avril :
Aujourd'hui, environ 400 étudiants munis de banderoles se sont rassemblés devant le Ministère de l'Education afin de protester contre le test de mathématiques du baccalauréat qui leur sera de nouveau soumis suite au problème du 13 avril, ils réclament la démission du Ministre en place, Martin Fronc. Malgré tout, quelques 2714 candidats repasseront l'épreuve le 26 avril !

Today,  some 400 students gathered in front of Education Ministry headquarters to protest the planned retake of the A-level test in mathematics. Holding up banners and chanting slogans, they urged Education Minister Martin Fronc to resign, after he decided that students should resit math exit exams that were rendered invalid by a serious technical mistake. Certain students taking the A-level test in mathematics on April 13 were given material including both problems to be solved and the answers

19 Avril :
Le Président de la Finlande, Mme Tarja Halonen, est aujourd'hui à Bratislava, où elle doit rencontrer Ivan Gašparovič, le premier Ministre Mikulaš Dzurinda ainsi que le Ministre des Affaires Etrangères, Eduard Kukan.
The President of Finland, Tarja Halonen, is visiting Bratislava today. She has been meeting President Gasparovic, Premier Mikulas Dzurinda, and Foreign Affairs Minister Eduard Kukan

17 Avril :
Le nouveau champion 2004-2005 en Hockey sur glace est... Bratislava. Le club Bratislava Slovan s'est imposé face au club de HKm Zvolen. Lors du dernier match, Zvolen n'a marqué qu'un seul but dans le troisième tiers temps alors que Bratislava a marqué un but dans chaque tiers temps, le score final est donc de 1 à 3.

The new 2004-2005 champion in Ice Hokey is Bratislava. The club from Bratislava, won the last match against Zvolen (1:3), it was yesterday, April 16.

17 Avril :
Vendredi soir s'est déroulée à 20h00 sur STV1, la finale de Slovensko Hladá Superstar. Sur les deux candidates qui restaient en compétition, le public a préféré Katka Koščova à Martina Šindlerová. 

Last friday, on STV1, it was the final of  Slovensko Hladá Superstar. People chose between Katka Koščova and Martina Šindlerová. The winner is...Katka Koščova.

16 Avril :
Questions et réponses !
Une erreur s'est produite le 13 avril lors des examens écrits de mathématiques, en effet le modèle de copie A, celui qui comporte les réponses, a été distribué aux candidats. Tant que les examens n'avaient pas commencé, personne n'avait remarqué l'erreur. Toutefois, l'erreur ne concernait que plusieurs centaines d'élèves sur tout le pays., les copies ont vite été remplacées...
Toutefois, quelques 2714 lycéens vont repasser leur examen de Maths le 26 avril...

Unified written graduation exams in Slovakia are affected by a scandal. The State Office for Education distributed to schools the A variant of math tests with marked correct answers. Nobody noticed the mistake until the students begun taking the test. Only several hundred students in the whole country picked this variant so it wasn’t a problem to replace them.
However, a total  of 2,714 secondary school students will have to repeat their school leaving examination in Maths on April 26

14 Avril :
Kia, toujours et encore.
Une partie des  propriétaires qui demandaient un prix plus élevé pour leurs parcelles semblent avoir obtenu gain de cause, c'est l'info que rapporte le quotidien Pravda. Aucun accord officiel n'a été signé, mais selon des sources non-officielles, les propriétaires  devraient obtenir 350 Sk par m², cela concerne 52 hectares sur les 220 restant à acquérir.
 Le gouvernement devrait, la semaine prochaine, trouver une solution à cette saga sans fin !

The owners of plots on the site of the future KIA car plant near Žilina, who have been holding out for a higher price than the Sk140 per square metre originally offered , have probably won the battle, the Pravda daily reported.
No official agreement was reached by the cabinet at its meeting, but according to unofficial sources, the landowners will be offered Sk350 per square metre for the remaining 52 hectares of the total 220 hectares remaining. The cabinet should finally resolve the matter next week.

12 Avril :
La libération de la ville de Martin, dans la région de Žilina, du 11 avril 1945, a été commemorée hier par les représentants de la ville, des vétérans des combats et la population. Une délégation roumaine, avec à sa tête, l'ambassadeur Roumain de Slovaquie, a rendu hommage aux combattants de la seconde guerre mondiale devant le monument de la libération de Martin. Le maire de la ville, au cours de son discours, a souligné l'importance du rôle joué par les soldats roumains dans la libération de la ville, le 11 avril 1945. 

Heavy fighting to liberate Martin (Žilina region) from German Nazis in April 1945 was commemorated by the city's representatives, resistance fighters and the general public on Monday.  A Romanian delegation, led by the Romanian Ambassador to Slovakia paid tribute to the WWII victims at the monument of liberation called Guns in Martin. The Martin mayor spoke about how important the Romanian soldiers were in the fight for the city, which was liberated on April 11, 1945. 

12 Avril :
Où sont les milliards ?
Selon le journal Hospodárske noviny, un audit effectué auprès du Fond National Slovaque (FNM) a mis en évidence que près de 25 milliards de Sk auraient été utilisés sans qu'aucun document justificatif ne soit trouvé. Les sommes ont probablement été investit par le FNM mais le NKU, l'organisme qui a mené l'audit a déclaré que la documentation concernant la destination des fonds est manquante...

Sk25 billion (€636 million) from the accounts of the Slovak National Fund (FNM) has no corresponding documentation, the Supreme Audit Office (NKU) discovered, according to the Hospodárske noviny business daily.The money is supposed to have been invested by the FNM in businesses, but the NKU says that many of the invoices documenting the use of the money are still missing.

11 Avril :
Hier, le club de Hockey de Bratislava Slovan a pris l'avantage sur son adversaire de Zvolen HKm avec un résultat final de 2 à 0. Le prochain match se déroulera mardi...à Zvolen. Le club Bratislava Slovan mène la série 3 à 1.

Slovan Bratislava took a lead in the ice-hockey premier league's final series against HKm Zvolen on Sunday in Bratislava with a 2-0 shutout victory. Game 5 will be played in Zvolen on Tuesday. Slovan leads the series 3:1

11 Avril :
Ça bouge en Rhône-Alpes !
Une info qu'Inside-slovakia se doit de rapporter : 
En effet, une association vient d'y être créée ayant pour but  la découverte, la promotion et le rapprochement de la France et de la Slovaquie, par tous les moyens d’action qu’elle pourra trouver, notamment par :

-         le développement des échanges socioculturels, sportifs, éducatifs, amicaux, linguistiques, etc.

-         l’initiation à la culture des deux pays

-         la découverte du patrimoine

-         la mise en relation des Slovaques de Rhône Alpes

-         l’organisation d’échanges de services entre les membres

-         la promotion de la Slovaquie lors de manifestations diverses en France et en Europe

-         la mise à disposition de documentation et d’informations sur la Slovaquie

-         le rapprochement de collectivités territoriales pour réaliser des projets communs.

Les membres de cette association travaillent activement pour concrétiser certains projets tels un séjour parapente à Donovaly du 17 au 25  juin ou encore un projet de reboisement dans les Hautes Tatras en collaboration avec un lycée horticole savoyard...

10 Avril :
Miss Slovakia 2005, c'est fait, c'était hier soir en direct sur Tv Markiza.
La gagnante du concours s'appelle Ivica Sláviková, 21 ans de Bratislava... C'est donc à elle que revient le premier prix, soit un million de Sk, une voiture BMW série 1 et le voyage autour du monde. Le reste du podium est complété par Katarína Holáňová de Žilina, à gauche sur la photo de TASR et Lucia Debnárová, à droite sur l'image, de Liptovský Hrádok.

09 Avril :
KIA, nouvel épisode !!
Selon RSI, les Coréens ont annulé la visite officielle, prévue lundi prochain, du haut représentant de la société automobile coréenne Hyundaï-Kia, M. Ko-Tchung. Cette visite a été annulée en raison des problèmes concernant l’acquisition des derniers terrains appartenant à des propriétaire privés au profit de l’usine de montage de véhicules KIA à Žilina. Le gouvernement slovaque, lors de sa session mercredi dernier, n’a pas trouvé de solution pour résoudre cette question. Le Ministre slovaque de l’Agriculture, Zsolt Simon, est opposé à la proposition présentée par le ministre de l’Economie, Pavol Rusko, de donner un autre terrain à chaque propriétaire en échange de celui qu’il concéderait...
Une solution doit pourtant être trouvé dans les plus brefs délais car les investisseurs de la future usine  Hyundaï-Kia risquent de perdre toute confiance dans le gouvernement slovaque, la date limite pour solutionner l'acquisition de toutes les terres nécessaires à la construction de l'usine est fixée à la fin de ce mois...

"The announced visit of the top representatives of the Hyundai/Kia company will not now take place next week.  Economy Minister Pavol Rusko said Thursday that the motor company representatives say that the key date for solving the land sale is the end of April.   Members of the government have been informed that if the land problem is not solved by the end of April investors will lose faith in the Slovak government."

08 Avril :
Saga KIA, de retour !

On pensait à un final tout en douceur puisque les propriétaires des parcelles qui étaient au coeur du débat, doivent obtenir un prix plus raisonnable via des investisseurs externes. Ces derniers doivent leur acheter 350 Sk le m² alors que l'Etat leur propose seulement 140 Sk, en retour, les investisseurs veulent échanger ces terres contre d'autres gérées par l'Etat... plus intéressantes pour eux. Or le gouvernement n'a pas réussi à obtenir un accord satisfaisant toutes les parties, notamment parce que certains ministres sont opposés à cette solution proposée par le Ministre de l'Economie, Pavol Rusko. Le Ministre de la Justice, Daniel Lipšic, argument plutôt pour la solution de l'expropriation afin de trouver une issue rapide, à cette fin, il a proposé une simplification de la procédure d'expropriation.
Cependant, même dans le cas ou cette simplification est adoptée, elle ne prendra pas effet avant l'été...

The cabinet meeting again failed to reach an agreement on the situation regarding the as-yet unsold land attached to the future Kia/Hyundai plant near Zilina. Economy Minister Pavol Rusko maintains that an exchange of land remains the optimal resolution, that is to say that there are

businessmen who are ready to pay the landowners Sk350 (€9) per square meter. The government was offering just Sk140 (€3.5). According to the proposal, the businessmen would buy the plots from the owners, and then exchange these for other plots that are administered by the national land fund (SPF). Justice Minister Daniel Lipšic argues, however, that expropriation of the land would be a better way of solving the problem. He has proposed a legal revision to the expropriation process that should simplify it. However, even if approved, the change would not take effect before the summer.

07 Avril :
Décès de Jean-Paul II, partie 3 !
A Rome pour l'enterrement du Pape, la Slovaquie est représentée par son Président, Ivan Gašparovič, et par son Président du Parlement, Pavol Hrušovsky. Le Cardinal Jozef Tomko, Slovaque résidant à Rome, participe au service funéraire.
Bien qu'officiellement, la journée de Vendredi ne soit par une journée de deuil national, de nombreux bureaux et écoles ont autorisé  leur personnel à regarder la cérémonie à la télévision.

At the funeral of John Paul II, Cardinal Jozef Tomko, a Slovak based in Rome, assisted at the funeral service.  Although Friday was not declared a day of national mourning in Slovakia, many offices and schools allowed their staff to watch the funeral on TV.  Slovakia was represented by President Gašparovič and Speaker of Parliament Pavol Hrušovsky.

Décès de Jean-Paul II, partie 2 !
Aujourd'hui en tout début de session gouvernementale, les ministres ont rendu hommage au Pape Jean-Paul II décédé samedi dernier en respectant une minute de silence. Selon le gouvernement, les drapeaux slovaques et de l’Union européenne mis en berne jusqu’au 8 avril à 18heures sont le signe du deuil national en Slovaquie.
Pour sa part, le Ministère de l'Education a indiqué que l'annulation des cours des écoles primaires et secondaires pour la journée de vendredi 8 avril est laissé à l'initiative des professeurs sachant que la loi leur autorise 4 annulations par an.  

Today, the Slovak ministers keep one minute of silence in memory of the Pope John Paul II, who died on the evening of Saturday, April 2. According to the government, all the Slovak and UE flag which are furled and craped until next april 8th, 6.00 pm, means the national mourning in Slovakia.
The Education Ministry says that the decision whether to cancel classes at primary and secondary schools on Friday, April 8, is up to individual headteachers. Headteachers have the right to cancel classes due to organisational reasons four times a year, according to current law.

Paradoxalement, depuis l'entrée dans l'UE de la Slovaquie, les citoyens slovaques souhaitant travailler en France se heurtent à la  période transitoire qui a pris effet le 1.05.2004,  il leur faut attendre 5 ans pour pouvoir exercer une activité professionnelle, en effet, c'est seulement dans 5 ans que la libre circulation des travailleurs sera effective. Ce sera l'ouverture du marché du travail à tous les travailleurs des nouveaux pays de l'UE. Concrètement, aujourd'hui, un ou une Slovaque peut se voir attribuer  une autorisation de travail mais ne peut pas exercer pendant la période transitoire, il en découle pour certains couples franco-slovaque non mariés des situations rocambolesques...
Selon le Ministre Michel Barnier qui a rencontré son homologue Slovaque Eduard Kukan à Bratislava, la France comprend que les Slovaques souhaitent voir l'ouverture du marché intervenir avant la fin de la période transitoire de 5 ans, cependant, pour le moment la France n'a pas besoin de main d'oeuvre étrangère et de plus, elle rencontre de gros problèmes avec son taux de chômage, 10 % de la population active.

France will not consider cutting short the transition period for the free movement of workers from the new EU member states.  French Foreign Minister Michel Barnier said, after his meeting with Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Eduard Kukan, in Bratislava that he understands our efforts to achieve the opening of the labor market earlier then after five years of EU membership. However, France does not need a foreign work force. Barnier asked us to understand that they have a big problem with their ten percent unemployment rate.

Le décès du Pape Jean-Paul II provoque une incroyable ruée de pèlerins, les Slovaques n'y échappent pas ! Ils seront des milliers à être présents au Vatican vendredi pour lui rendre un dernier hommage. La compagnie aérienne SkyEurope qui a vendu tous ses billets des vols d'aujourd'hui lundi dernier doit rajouter 4 vols sur ses lignes régulières pour satisfaire la demande. Demain après midi, une dizaine d'autocars quitteront Bratislava et d'autres villes à destination de Rome.

Thousands of Slovaks will be personally present at the Vatican on Friday to bid a last farewell to Pope Jan Pavol II. Budget airline SkyEurope, sold out its last flight to Rome for today on Monday, has had to add four additional flights to its regular ones. Ten busses with tour guides will leave from Bratislava and other Slovak cities on Thursday evening

05 Avril :
Travail au noir !
Hier, le Ministère du travail a déclenché une opération de contrôle nommée "Vietor" (Vent) destinée à lutter contre le travail illégal. Les inspecteurs du travail ont procédé à 626 contrôles, 46 employeurs faisant travailler 137 personnes non déclarées ont été pris en faute. 
Depuis le 1er avril, la loi sur le travail illégal est plus sévère, l'employeur pris en faute risque une amende de 1 million de Sk et une exclusion de 5 ans en ce qui concerne la participation aux appels d'offre public et l'attribution de subvention, les travailleurs illégaux risquent quant à eux une amende de 10 000 Sk.
Selon le Ministre du travail  Ludovit Kanik, la nouvelle loi éliminera le travail au noir, améliorera les rentrées d'argent de la caisse nationale d'assurance sociale (Socialna Poistovna ou SP) et permettra une réduction éventuelle des cotisations. Cela obligera aussi les employeurs à enregistrer leurs employés sur les listes de la SP avant de les embaucher.

On Monday, the first day of the Labour Ministry's Operation "Vietor" (Wind), 137 people were found to be working illegally by 46 employers, it was revealed Tuesday.
The Labour Ministry's inspectors carried out 626 controls on Monday.
"The cases will be resolved via administrative action," Ministry spokesman Martin Danko said. Employing people illegally is punishable with a Sk1-million fine and a five-year ban on participation in public tenders or application for a subsidy, he added. Those illegally working can be punished with a Sk10,000 fine.
Among the "Vietor" operation's aims is to implement the new illegal employment law, which has been in force since April 1. The operation will last until April, 15.
According to Labour Minister Ludovit Kanik, the law will eliminate illegal work, up the incomes of the state's insurer Socialna Poistovna (SP) and enable an eventual reduction of levies. It also obliges employers to register employees into SP's list of insured persons before hiring them.

03 Avril :
Demain, Lundi 4 avril, la Slovaquie accueillera en visite officielle le Ministre Français des Affaires Etrangères, Michel Barnier. A cette occasion, la chambre de commerce Franco-Slovaque de Bratislava organisera une conférence de presse.

Tomorrow, French Foreign Affairs Minister Michel Barnier will be in Slovakia, it will be an official visit. In Bratislava, the Franco-Slovak chamber of commerce will arrange  a press conference.

02 Avril :
Le Ministre slovaque des Affaires Etrangères, Eduard Kukan, a achevé aujourd’hui sa visite officielle de deux jours en Ukraine. A l’occasion de ses enretiens avec les plus hautes autorités ukrainiennes, Eduard Kukan a rappelé que la Slovaquie soutenait pleinement les ambitions de l’Ukraine pour intégrer l’UE et l’Otan. Une invitation d'Ivan Gašparovič a été remise au Président ukrainien  Viktor Yushchenko pour sa future visite en Slovaquie. Le Ministre Eduard Kukan s’est également entretenu avec son homologue Ukrainien, Borys Tarasyuk, au sujet des relations économiques bilatérales, notamment dans le domaine énergétique.

Today, Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Eduard Kukan ended his two days official visit in Ukraine. With the  Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko at a Friday meeting in Kiev, he  spoke about the integration of Ukraine into NATO and the EU.
Kukan also presented to Yushchenko an invitation from Slovak President Ivan Gasparovic for an official visit to Slovakia.
During Kukan's session with his Ukrainian counterpart Borys Tarasyuk, bilateral relationships and the issue of the European integration were discussed. Both confirmed their interest in enlarging the co-operation in the economic and other spheres. Kukan ensured his partner that Slovakia will support Ukraine.

02 Avril :
En Slovaquie, où 80 % des croyants sont catholiques, le président de la Conférence des Evêques slovaques (KBS), Frantisek Tondra a lancé un appel à la prière pour le Pape Jean-Paul II. Le Pape est actuellement soigné par son medecin personnel, le docteur Renato Buzzonetti ainsi que par d'autres spécialistes.

The Chairman of the Slovak Bishops Conference (KBS), Frantisek Tondra, has appealed to the faithful to pray for Pope John Paul II.
"In name of the Slovak bishops, I call upon all the faithful to pray for the Holy Father, whose state of health has severely deteriorated. Let us ask almighty God to strengthen the pope in this difficult time," reads Tondra's statement.
John Paul is being treated by his personal doctor, Renato Buzzonetti, as well as by other doctors who are experts in resuscitation, cardiology and ear, nose and throat problems.

1er Avril :

Mercredi, le corps de Milan Rafael, auteur de deux homicides a été retrouvé. Depuis la semaine dernière, il était recherché par les forces de police suite à la tragédie dont fut victime la famille de sa petite amie Eva. En effet, seulement un jour après sa sortie de prison, Milan Rafael s'était rendu chez Eva, cette dernière lui annonça qu'elle mettait un terme à leur relation. Milan Rafael tua alors son père, son frêre et causa de sérieuses blessures à sa petite amie ainsi qu'à sa mère.

On Wednesday the body of Milan Rafael who killed two people was found. The police was searching for the dangerous murderer since Thursday when the tragedy happened. A local found the dead man at the forest near the village. A day after his release from prison the criminal visited his ex-girlfriend. When she told him she was definitively terminating her relationship with him, he shot dead her father and brother and caused serious injuries to Eva and her mother.

Inutile de voter pour ce malheureux candidat, non sélectionné, car il  n'était vraiment que de passage, preuve en est qu'il n'a même pas pris le temps de retirer son sac à dos...

1er Avril :
Selon le site TSS, la ville de Bánovce nad Brebavou a le vent en poupe, les investisseurs semblent s'y bousculer !
L'Allemand Flott qui fabrique notamment des machines-outils telles que perceuses, tours à métaux, envisage d'y construire une nouvelle usine ainsi qu'un magasin pour distribuer ses produits. 
Selon le maire de la ville, Ján Turčan, Flott n'est pas le seul projet économique, l'Autrichien Milsy spécialisé dans la transformation de produits laitiers, et l'Allemand Hella qui fabrique des ampoules pour l'automobile ont également des projets d'agrandissement de leurs installations existantes sur place. 150 à 250 nouveaux emplois pourraient être créés.
A la société Fritzmayer, fabricant de composants pour chariots élévateurs, 50 nouveaux soudeurs doivent prochainement commencer leur travail.
Toujours selon Ján Turčan, des pourparlers sont en cours en ce mois d'avril avec des investisseurs de la République Tchèque, d'Allemagne et de Corée du Sud. Le maire espère que pour le début de l'année 2006, cela débouchera sur des créations d'emploi de l'ordre de 500 nouveaux postes.
Enfin, un parc industriel sera construit aux alentours de Bánovce, sur la commune de Horné Nastice.

The German company Flott plans to build a new factory, service centre and retail centre in Bánovce nad Bebravou near Trenčín later this year, the TASR news agency reported.
Flott produces drills, grinding machines and similar machines. The new facility will serve Central and Eastern Europe.

According to Bánovce's mayor Ján Turčan, this is not the town's only prospective foreign investor. Austrian milk-processing company Milsy and a German producer of car lights, Hella, also plan to expand their existing operations there. They will employ 150-250 people in total.
Approximately 50 welders will soon start working for the Fritzmayer company, which produces spare parts for forklift trucks.
Talks with other possible investors from the Czech Republic, Germany and South Korea will take place in April. Turčan expects that by the beginning of 2006 around 500 new jobs will have been created.

An industrial park will also be built in Bánovce's neighbouring municipality of Horné Nastice
